Strength Training: Building Strength and Confidence
Strength training is a form of physical exercise that focuses on improving muscle strength, power, and endurance through resistance. This resistance can come from free weights, machines, resistance bands, or body‑weight exercises. The purpose of strength training is to challenge the muscles in a controlled way, encouraging them to adapt, grow stronger, and support better overall movement and performance.
Regular strength training improves muscle control, joint stability, and posture, making everyday tasks such as lifting, carrying, and pushing safer and easier. In personal training, strength programmes are tailored to individual goals and abilities, helping clients build a strong, balanced body while reducing the risk of injury and supporting long‑term health and fitness.
